“To Entertain, to become the biggest movements”

In 2004 based in North Finchley, London Skata Records Entertainment was formed with 10 Artists. The first release was an underground DVD called ‘Skata Your Brains’, sold over 14,000 copies including a soundtrack to support the DVD release. Which got the attention of the labels movement.

Shortly after that release in 2005 a mixtape was formed called ‘Verdict’ feat. Skata, Dotstar, Sme, Dirty Dapz and baby ma (former member of SRE) alongside a music video called ‘Dirty North West’ which made a shift in the underground.

2006 the release of the mixtape ‘2000 & Rebore Sticks’ a compilation of 33 tracks from some of the finest talent. The CD includes features from Flirta D, Ribz, Dirty Dappa, L'z, Dice, Ruff Squad, Agro, Twissman. Supported by a music video ‘That was a Hit’ & Never Disrespect You hit Number 2 in the Urban Charts, sold over 50,000 copies on the underground alone, not including online awareness and digital downloads which grew SRE awareness. The release of ‘Take em 2 Jail’ in 2007 consiting of Skata and Sme (and others) made sales in the underground.

The biggest mixtape in 2008, ‘Badnews feat. All the SRE artists including Grafh from America, Mega Man from So-solid, Cl from North Star, Mike GLC, Jajaso21 from PDC, which got the commercial industry talking about the SRE movement.

Skata Record Entertainment turned its attention in 2009 to one of the members in the team, Dotstar who grabbed the attention of the mainstream movement releasing a funky house smash hit single ‘Stick Up’ ended up as a large success with a million views on Youtube, in the Top 10 of the MTV Charts for 2 weeks, touring Africa, Europe and the UK, also the release of ‘Dirty Bass’ that year.

2010 release of another dance single ‘She’s Killing Me’ made a buzz with MTV Base for 4 weeks at Number 1 creating a buzz in the dance scene, followed with shows, tours and editorials by the press.The release of ‘Xpensive’ in 2011 by Dotstar grabbed the attention of UK and Africas movement, over 116,772 views on Youtube.

The launch of Dotstar’s mixtape ‘The Screening’ featuring sway, SAS, Sincre, Young Teflon, K Koke, Jaja Soz, Wizzie Woo, Pepstar and many more… Dotstar’s album is also due to release this Summer 2011 featuring big names in the industry, look out for that one (it’s a keeper X_x)

SRE are committed in working with the other members of the SRE Label, and working on a summer mixtape for 2011. Coming out from the mists and shadows is Flirta D official single and debut mixtape, a follow up to his last release ‘Man Behave’

SRE has also opened up avenues for the creative arts and media, by structuring an in house team for the push and plug of each artist on the SRE Label.

Chedda Official by Shyst with his creative skills behind the camera from photography to video, Neo Creatives overseeing all aspects of web development and web design, a Designer / Marketing candidate from shazdesigns.com has come onboard to push SRE Further as an independent label. An online media team pushed by The Flossers taken on by SRE Internal team Shaziya Ramji, Jassy & Irina to build up the social awareness of each artist on the SRE Label
