My name is Dotstar! I got that name because when I was younget I was called Dot Dot, after my decision to take music seriously I changed it to Dotstar; simple!

Orginially, my parents .re from Nigeria. Growing up I’ve always loved music and loved to dance. I would say I’ve been doing music in total for about 7 years now, more seriously since my breakthrough year in ’08 when Skata Records spotted my talent at a talent show. Since then I have been doing what I love most which is making music.

I wouldn’t class myself in a particular genre of music, diversifying through a hybrid of hip hop, dance and electro. I would say Kanye West is a strong influence on my music as he is very versatile and thinks outside the box, which makes his music lateral. Michael Jackson would be another major influence because not only was he an original legend he pushed music and dance to a whole new level.

G Frsh, Biggz, Tinie Tempah, Youngs Teflon, Ghettz, Sway, Wizzie Wow, JaJa Soze are all artists that I’ve worked with. Other than music, filming and editing are my major hobbies as well as my interest in tattoos.

In five years time I would like to be a successful young Black man with a credible name in the music industry.
